The Loser Point does not currently offer user accounts, comments, purchases, or newsletter registration, and it does not currently run a dedicated behavioral advertising or audience analytics service. The site is designed to collect as little personal information as reasonably possible.

Like most websites, the hosting, domain, delivery, and security providers used to operate The Loser Point may automatically process technical information such as an IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps, referring pages, and security or error logs. This information is used to deliver, protect, troubleshoot, and maintain the site.

The site uses browser local storage to remember whether you chose its Solar or Lunar display mode. That preference remains in your browser and is not used to identify you or build a profile about you. You can remove it by clearing the site data in your browser.

The site retrieves publicly accessible hockey data and team image URLs from NHL-operated endpoints. Most statistical requests are made by The Loser Point’s server and then returned to your browser. Team images can be loaded from NHL-operated asset addresses, which may allow that provider to receive ordinary request information from your browser.

Some pages may embed or link to third-party services, including X. When an embedded feature loads or you follow an external link, that service may receive technical information and apply its own cookies or tracking technologies under its own privacy policy. The Loser Point does not control those third-party practices.

If you email The Loser Point, the message, email address, and any information you voluntarily include will be used to respond, investigate a correction or rights concern, maintain necessary records, and protect the site. Do not send sensitive personal information. Messages are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.

The site is a general-audience hockey project and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly request or collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, please contact the site so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
